Last night I watched on Blu-Ray:

"Star Trek XI: 3 disc bonus digital copy special edition" - I agree with the general thoughts on this Blu-Ray disc...stunning. The scenes in space flight look especially amazing!

DVD:

"X-Files: Season 2" - I watched the episode Ascention last night. A pretty good episode in my opinion.

Watched on Blu-Ray:

'Terminator Salvation: Directors Cut' - I originally thought this was going to be quite a bit longer than the theatrical edition...I guess I heard wrong. Other than the pointless scene where Moon stands topless in the desert - I can't say I noticed much else added in!
I enjoyed the film more than I did when I saw it at the cinema though for some reason...

DVD:

'X-Files: Season 2' - Watched the episode called "3." Not a bad episode...a group of characters take to drinking blood.

DVD:

"Smokin' Aces" - great film...although watched it with the girlfriend and she didn't really get it...anyone seen the second film yet? I'm sure it's terrible..but I'm slightly intrigued.

Me and the girlfriend have been getting through the Friends complete collection boxset...so far we're up to Season 6 now.

Finally found a store in Wichita that buys VHS tapes for more than .25 cents each. So I sold the last of my VHS stuff for almost a hundred bucks (89 Pre-recorded VHS tapes at .90 cents each).

Watched my first and only chick flick on Blu-ray, The Time Traveler's Wife and was impressed with the depth of the picture. My wife came home in tears after watching this in the cinema, so I thought it would be nice for a pre-Valentine's Day gift to get her a copy of this on Blu-ray. More points for the Junkie.

Very Happy Very Happy

Watched on DVD:

"Poltergeist" - this film used to scare me as a kid...but it hasn't aged all that well. Some bizarre scenes going on (the possessed tree) whilst the genuinely creepy moments (Carol-Anne on the television saying someone else is there with her) are few and far between. A good premise, but could've done with a bit of the "less is more scary" treatment. Dated effects too. Although I always preferred Poltergeist 2 anyway...

Got The Brothers Grimm Blu-Ray through the post on rental...will have to watch that at some point in the next week.

Is the Predator Blu-Ray a decent transfer compared to DVD? That's another one I've debated buying if the quality is good enough...

Watched Universal Solider Regeneration on Blu Ray.
I actually really liked this movie. I liked that the action dwasnt CG driven. IT was done old school with in camera effects.

Also Jean claude has an amazing scene which is all done in one camera shot and then has another great scene where you attacks some more soldiers.

The film looks really good on blu ray , the action is very well done but the plot is very basic and doesnt really go anywhere.

defintely worth a rental to see jean claude take on dolph lundgren.
